At this year's USU World, we'll show you a series of notable and helpful innovations in the new Valuemation Release 4.3 (available from July 1, 2012), ones that will impress both you as our customer as well as other interested persons!
New Model: Valuemation Release Manager
Installing new releases of hardware and software very often results in unexpected difficulties. This situation can affect individual IT applications or whole sections of an IT system. In the worst case scenario, even the entire IT system can fail. The result: downtimes with serious, negative impacts on service readiness and service quality. With the Valuemation Release Manager, you can smoothly and reliably integrate new releases of hardware and software into your productive environment. By using the Release Manager along with change management, you can predetermine the scope of functions affected by a release in detail and carefully schedule its deployment in coordination with business service requirements – all the way until deployment is approved. In this way, you'll successfully migrate new or changed services and systems into your productive environment.
Business Process Manager
By using the new modeling tool in the Valuemation Process Engine, you can very easily adapt your processes, such as your standard-fulfillment and/or change process to meet your needs. Supported by a graphical interface, you can model your individual fulfillment and change processes with predefined modules.
Valuemation Service Portfolio Manager
By using the Service Portfolio Manager, you can define your basic portfolio and service offerings as an internal or external service provider. You can standardize your available services and even customize them for specific customers by selecting options and defining service parameters. This will provide your sales and service department and service managers with helpful service templates for negotiating and planning customized service packages for these customers.
Optimized Integration of USU KnowledgeCenter 5 in Valuemation 4
When performing incident/problem management, you can now transfer solutions to incidents, problems and service requests directly from Valuemation to your solution knowledge base. The integration with the USU KnowledgeBase modules will help you in handling editorial workflows such as document review, release and resubmission as well as in keeping track of document versions, thus ensuring high-quality, updated solutions. In addition, you can automatically add questions and answers from the USU KnowledgeGuide, such as the ones asked and answered during self-service sessions, to a ticket located in the Valuemation Incident Manager.
CMDB Integration of Valuemation 4 into the ZIS-System from LeuTek
Starting with Valuemation Release 4.3, you can centrally create systems and components (configuration items) first and only once in the Valuemation CMDB and then automatically transfer them to the ZIS-System and monitor them there. In short, no more redundant updating of duplicate data records!
The CMDB Rack-o-Mat
By graphically viewing your racks and blades with the Rack-o-Mat, you can see at a glance how many open slots are still available and in which places you can add enclosures.
Business Intelligence for IT Management
Business intelligence (BI) solutions have become essential for many enterprises. When it comes to having a reliable method for financial controlling, in sales and marketing they are often the key tool for determining KPIs as well as for controlling and planning at strategic and operational levels.
However, within corporate IT the situation is different. Although the term "IT Performance Management" has become well established and ITIL® also promotes "Key Performance Indicators" for IT controlling and monitoring, BI solutions meant for use in IT departments themselves are actually quite rare. However, these days it doesn't stop with the concept of "Guidance by KPIs." According to a study by the analysts at IDC "analytics" is the buzzword for 2012. Analytics expands business intelligence toward answering varying questions and even forecasting.
At this year's USU World, we'll present you our new solution for service intelligence and show you how IT managers, from the CIO all the way down to department managers, can all benefit from this new development.
